Meet-and-Greet Dates Kick Off “Touch 10,000″ Welcome Program

Meet-ups for new bar admittees at a variety of hotspots around the country will kick-off the _ Young Lawyers Division Touch 10,000 outreach program. The meet-ups will take place June 17 in several U.S. cities, including San Francisco, Santa Monica, Calif., New York City, Philadelphia, Houston and Washington, D.C.

During these events, newly-admitted lawyers will have the opportunity to socialize and network with Touch 10,000 ambassadors and with other young legal professionals. The newly developed program will welcome new admittees to the ABA and to the legal profession as a whole.

“With so many options and challenges, being new to the practice of law can be overwhelming,” says Courtenay R. Dunn, host for the Philadelphia event. “The Touch 10,000 Meet-and-Greet will alleviate some of the anxiety that new admittees face, while helping them to build valuable relationships that will last the duration of their careers.”

Says Natalie Panossian, host of the Santa Monica, Calif., gathering: “The Meet-and-Greets are going to offer invaluable opportunities for establishing solid professional contacts in a no-pressure, informal social setting.”

A complete listing of the Meet-and-Greet locations and the link to sign up to become an ambassador are available on the Touch 10,000 webpage.
