Today’s tragic events are a direct attack on our American way of life and the rule of law. We deeply mourn all who were killed and injured, including Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. Our thoughts are with them.
The loss of U.S. District Court Chief Judge John Roll, a respected and admired jurist, is deeply felt by the _ and all those in the legal community. His life and service will be long remembered.
This shocking and frightening event emphasizes the importance of protecting and respecting our civic life, and all those who participate in it.
