Carolyn B. Lamm, Former ABA President, Honored With Lawyer of the Americas Award

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 20, 2012 — The University of Miami Inter-American Law Review will honor Carolyn B. Lamm, former _ president, with the Lawyer of the Americas Award March 30 at the Coral Gables Country Club in Miami.  Each year, this recognition honors an attorney who has demonstrated exemplary service in the field of Inter-American law and in the furtherance of improved economic, social and political policies in the Americas.

Lamm, a partner at the global law firm of White & Case, served as president of the ABA from 2009 – 2010.  She received her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York College at Buffalo, and her law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 1973.
